Most commonly a French bulldog goes restless due to medical or behavioral issues like the rest of the dog breeds. On one hand, the restlessness of your Frenchie boy depicts any of his pains or anxious conditions.
No matter what, first you have to identify the exact reasons for your Frenchie pal to become so restless. Let’s dig into what I have identified based on Frenchie’s problem of restlessness.
1 . A Strong Hit By The Boredom
French bulldogs are born to be clingy and to stay with their owner 24/7. So, when they miss this phase, they get bored easily. Hope you know how boredom can hit even a human being. So, then no need of explaining how it blackouts a clingy breed like French bulldogs.
Therefore, boredom can be a reason for your Frenchie to become restless.
2 . Fears And Phobias
If your Frenchie has become restless because of a phobia or a fear, it can be easily identified.
Usually, phobias and fears trigger the restlessness of your Frenchie and when it reaches its highest level your poor Frenchie ball might even cry. Strange sounds, humming sounds, new surroundings, and new sights might tend to grow fears and phobias within your Frenchie.
3 . Separation Anxiety
As a Frenchie owner, you might know for sure how bonded he is to you. When you are home he is following you even to the bathroom. Then when you have to leave for work or out somewhere from home without him, he gets so upset and sad.
Finally, a constant happening of this incident can lead your Frenchie ball to have separation anxiety. As a result, he might get hit by restlessness even when you are home.

Tapeworms are common with all doggy breeds and are no exception for Frenchies as well. They are intestinal parasitic worms that can lead to intestinal blockages.
Frenchie pups are often hit by this problem and as a result, they display restless behaviors. Now, don’t think that tapeworms are not a threat to adult Frenchies.
When the actions of tapeworms become unbearable your Frenchie might get restless.
5 . Ticks And Fleas
Indeed, ticks and fleas do not have a long lifetime in your Frenchie’s body since they have very short coats. But, it is still possible for ticks and fleas to make your Frenchie restless and itchy for the whole day.
It is very uncomfortable for them and might carry infectious diseases to your Frenchie.
Apart from the above-mentioned common reasons, there can be some critical medical reasons such as dog dementia, cardiac issues, Cushing’s disease, and cognitive dysfunction that can lead your French pal to be so restless.
Now, these are not to panic you, but to be well aware. So, carefully read the next part on what you can do to rest your Frenchie buddy.
